Netways is looking for an experienced System Engineer, professional in serving as a technical expert in planning, designing, implementing and supporting IT Infrastructure services. The Systems Engineer role is to help build out, maintain, and troubleshoot rapidly evolving infrastructure.
Job Responsibilities:
• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
• Install, configure, test, document and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work to implement those fixes
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
• Participate in the design of system and network solutions
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
Experience and Skills:
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in the field
• Experience with Virtualization, storage and networking solutions
• Experience in Disaster Recovery, High Availability, Redundancy and Scalability
• Experience in at least one Cloud Provider Azure, AWS, OpenStack…
• Linux expertise is a major plus
• Motivated to dive into new technology trends e.g. Micro services, CI/CD…
• Teamwork spirit
